Fees:  Worcester County Research

 

 

 I charge $40 per hour for research, plotting descriptions, and report writing.  I do not bill travel time unless I have to go the MA Archives, the MA Vital Records office, or a town office (to search records from before 1731):  at $30 per hour. 

 

 

Photocopies:  .25 per sheet for land records, $2.00 per sheet for large recorded plans from Worcester Registry (when available--at cost), and .50 per sheet for probate records (also at cost).

 

 

I usually request partial payment approximately halfway through my search and full payment upon completion of the work and delivery of all documentation to you.  

 

 

Your final cost will depend on the complexity of the search;  the minimum amount of time required is generally about seven hours.  If you have a particular budget figure in mind, please let me know it before I begin work.
